EA Transport Helpline for Families Affected by Flooding

The scale of the recent rainfall and associated flooding in the North West has resulted in significant flooding to homes and businesses in the area.

Many by-roads across the North West are likely to remain closed for a period of time and this could have an impact on the school transport network with potential delays and diversions likely to be in place for an extended period of time.

EA Transport staff are reviewing the situation very carefully and are working to minimise any impact on pupils travelling to and from school.

Some pupils may be required to access school transport at alternative locations until normal services can resume. We would appreciate the cooperation of parents during this time.

We are also aware that many families have been temporarily relocated which means their home to school transport arrangements may be affected.

Please note the following changes to bus routes due to Road Service diversions:

  • Camlough Road is closed between Golan Crossroads and Mullinmore Crossroads. Pupils on this part of the route can connect with buses at Golan Crossroads or Mullinmore     Crossroads.
  • Crockanboy Road is closed between Greencastle Crossroads and Mullydoo Road.  Road service diversion will be via Mullydoo Road. Pupils on this part of the route can connect with buses at Greencastle Crossroads or Mullydoo Rd/Crockanboy Rd Junction.
  • All bus services are adhering to Road Service diversions in the Claudy, Park, Drumahoe and Eglinton areas.
  • Silverbrook Bridge Donemana is closed. Diversion via Dunnyboe Road, Drumman Road, Berryhill Road, Lisnarragh Road, Loughan Road and Brooke Road into Donemana.
