Slip, Slap Slop! SunSmart & Water Safety Campaign for Pupils

EAtv produced a special C2k Newsdesk educational video on Water Safety for KS1 and KS2 pupils in partnership with the RNLI to highlight to pupils how to have fun and stay safe on a visit to the beach.

Everyone knows it’s great fun at the beach, but do you know how to keep safe? Pupils from St Patrick's PS, Portrush on a trip to East Strand Beach took part in a film production and water safety campaign to raise awareness.  The RNLI’s Water Safety code 'S.A.F.E.' (S = Spot the Danger,  A = Advice, F = Friends, E = Emergency) provides swimming and beach safety information for all the family to follow.

In an effort to raise sun safety awareness, RNLI Lifeguards encouraged pupils to follow the ‘Slip, Slap, Slop’ code to protect their skin from too much sun exposure and to stay safe in the sun.
