Regional Advisory Group For Youth

In October 2013 the Minister for Education, Mr John O’Dowd, launched a new policy for youth services entitled ‘Priorities for Youth – Improving Young People’s Lives through Youth Work’.  This policy mandated the establishment of a Regional Advisory Group (RAG) and the development of a 3 year Regional Youth Development Plan (RYDP) with representation from young people, voluntary organisations and other government departments assisted by the statutory partners.

SERVICES & INFORMATION

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
