The Education Authority (EA) is keen to develop an educational tool(s) that can be used within a classroom setting targeting the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ADS) from the ages of 3 – 19 years to improve their educational, social and behavioural outcomes.  Find out more here.

Smart School Transport Project

In December last year the Education Authority (EA) launched a new ‘Smart School Transport’ competition under the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) scheme. This competition was aimed at digital solution providers to stimulate the development of innovative solutions to enable delivery of safer and more efficient home-to-school transport in Northern Ireland for approximately 90,000 children.  Find out more here.

SERVICES & INFORMATION

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
