Education Authority Youth Service launches Small Grants Programme 2017-18

After a very successful first year the Education Authority Youth Service are delighted to launch the 2017-18 Small Grants Programme.  Last year’s Small Grants Panel must be commended for their hard work and effective delivery of the Programme.  Their work has laid a strong foundation from which to build upon for this year’s Panel.

The Small Grants Programme has been set-up to enable young people to administer grants to other young people, and aims tostrengthening the participation of young people as decision-makers within the local and wider community.  The Programme is a key action in the Department of Education’s policy document, “Priorities for Youth - improving young people’s lives through youth work” (2013).  Groups can apply for funding of between £300 and £1500 to plan, develop and deliver projects within their youth organisations and/or local areas.

The Small Grants Programme is open to groups of young people aged up to 25 who are part of an Education Authority Youth Service registered / funded group. A group applying should be made up of no less than three young people.  The closing date for applications is Friday 24 November 2017 at 12pm.

Further programme information, application form and guidance notes can be obtained below or by emailing sgp@eani.org.uk  or by calling (028) 9056 6429 / (028) 90566952.
