The T:BUC Engagement Forum through The Executive Office (TEO) have asked the Education Authority to consult with young people in Youth Services and Schools regarding the T:BUC strategy. The purpose of the consultation is to explore young people’s understanding of the T:BUC strategy and issues which impact young people living in Northern Ireland.
The consultation process will have two main elements. Firstly a Survey Monkey questionnaire will be circulated to all schools and youth groups within Northern Ireland via links to the C2K and EA websites. The analysis of the survey results will inform the second element of the process, a youth conference to be held in the Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown.
We would like to invite post primary schools and youth groups to complete the questionnaire and to attend the conference on Tuesday 13 March 10.00am to 2.45pm at the Glenavon Hotel. Transportation and lunch will be provided for all young people and staff attending the conference.
This is a great opportunity for young people to have their voices heard in relation to issues which impact them with a link to local government through TEO. The learning gained through the consultation process will be beneficial for those pupils undertaking LLW and citizenship within school. For those schools participating in the Learning Together Programme, the conference and questionnaire provide students with the opportunity to gather evidence for several modules contained within the programme.
Spaces for the conference are limited and I would ask those interested in attending to complete the attached conference attendance form and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to; Education Authority, Grahamsbridge Road Dundonald, BT16 2HS
