Admission to Senior High Schools (14+)

In the Two-Tier System (sometimes known as the Dickson plan) the majority of pupils attending Clounagh Junior High School, Killicomaine Junior High School, Lurgan Junior High School and Tandragee Junior High School transfer at the end of Key Stage 3 or Year 10 to Senior High Schools or other post primary schools to complete their compulsory education in Key Stage 4.

Step 1: Read parents guide for admissions to senior high school

The parents guide provides information on how the admissions procedure operates, how schools select pupils and when you will be informed of the outcome of your application.

Step 2: Application form

An application form, known as P1/17, will be provided from your child’s junior high school.

Step 4: Complete application form and return

Form P1/17 should be completed and returned to your child’s junior high school. 

SERVICES & INFORMATION

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
