Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Service (DARS)

The Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Service (DARS) came into effect on the 1st of September 2005 as part of the implementation  of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Order (SENDO).

Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS)

The Education Authority (EA) has a dedicated Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS) which provides advice, guidance and support.

The Independent Counselling Service for Schools (ICSS)

It is recognised that young people from time to time may need emotional support beyond that which is provided within the pastoral care systems in school.  

Pre-School Education Support Service

Welcome to the Pre-School Education Support Service area of the Education Authority (EA) website.  The Pre-School Education Support Service carries out the operational and administration functions of the Pre-School Education Programme (PSEP).  

SERVICES & INFORMATION

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
