EPD Online Course and Seminars

The Early Professional Development introductory course is now delivered as a self-paced online module through C2K Fronter. When you register for EPD1 you will be added to the online course and an email will be sent to you with further instructions.

Afternoon support seminars are offered on a monthly basis at venues across Northern Ireland and you are welcome to attend to receive additional support and to discuss issues with a member of the IEPD team and other EPD teachers. All EPD Year 1 teachers are encouraged to attend their local support seminar.

Once you have registered, you will receive a link to full details of the seminars, including dates, times and venues.

Please note that no substitute cover is available for these seminars.

Teachers who have recently returned to Northern Ireland from Great Britain having completed NQT year plus one additional year’s teaching experience (with supporting evidence) are required to complete one year of the two year EPD programme.  They should therefore register for EPD and complete the online course.

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
