EA tv

EA tv is the online television service for the Education Authority.  It provides access to a wide range of on demand training and support materials for school leaders, teachers, governors and other stakeholders.  Programmes are wide ranging, address governors’ statutory duties and are designed to supplement the annual EA out-centre training programme for governors.

The programmes available on the EATV site have been specifically designed for school governors and provide an informative overview of a range of educational issues that governors are responsible for including:

  • Effective Governance;
  • Handling Parental Complaints;
  • PRSD;
  • Pupil Attendance;
  • School Policies;
  • Child Protection;
  • Every School a Good School;

Governor Support section on EATV 


The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
