Staff Networks

EA at present has two staff networks established, LINK for staff with a disability and/or carer duties and GLEAM for LGBTQ+ staff.

Our networks aim to encourage collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for both development and social engagement. If you would like any further information or to add your name to the member list, please email equality.unit@eani.org.uk

GLEAM

EA’s LGBTQ+ & Friends Staff Network is to: GLEAM Logo

  • Promote a better understanding of LGBTQ+ inclusion and make LGBT experiences more visible in the wider organisation;
  • Plan and deliver a programme of activities that reflects the needs and interests of LGBTQ+ staff & Friends and help coordinate and organise staff attendance at LGBTQ+ events;
  • Develop relationships with other employers and work closely with other staff networks and external organisations to share best practice;
  • Provide networking opportunities and peer support, including informal mentoring and coaching, for members and Friends; 
  • Work alongside, support and advise management and staff on LGBTQ+ workplace issues and provide feedback on how the organisation’s decisions, policies and processes can be improved.

Gleam Members

EA want all staff to be aware that our networks exist and they are welcome to join. Here are some introductions to some of our members, including the Chair and Vice Chair.

LINK

The disability and carer staff network will: LINK Logo

  • Promote a positive culture around disability across EA;
  • Provide peer to peer support to members;
  • Provide networking opportunities for members which contribute to continual professional and personal development;
  • Contribute to the wellbeing of members and contribute to a positive culture of wellbeing across EA;
  • Support the organisation in developing inclusive policies and procedures by acting as a consultation forum;
  • Actively advise EA on disability and caring relating issues;
  • Communicate the work of the network across EA;
  • Advise and support EA on the implementation and review of the EA Disability Action Plan; and
  • Support the continued growth and development of the staff network by actively recruiting members.
