Pre-school Admissions Guide
Although pre-school isn't compulsory it has benefits. Our guide will help you understand more about the process and what to expect when applying for a place in pre-school for your child.
How and when will I be notified of placement?
There are two dates of notification
- Stage 1 - Final Pre-School Year (Target age)
Parents of target age children will receive the outcome of their application on 28 April 2021. Parents who applied online will be able to view this information on the citizen portal. If your child is not offered a place the EA will provide you with information on pre-schools which still have funded places available at the close of Stage 1 and provide you with the opportunity to submit further preferences for processing in Stage 2.
- Stage 2
Parents of penultimate age children and target age children whose application was processed during Stage 2 will receive the outcome of their application on 10 June 2021. If your child is not offered a place the EA will provide you with information on pre-schools which may be still have funded places available at the close of Stage 2 of the admissions procedure. Any further guidance will be available for 10 June 2021.
