The Transformation Team was recruited to provide a blend of project management expertise and school leadership knowledge. Seconded principals from the primary and post-primary sectors bring a wealth of experience and ensure that the programme retains a clear focus on our children and young people.

We have listened to the views of young people, schools, Youth Service, other educational settings and parents and have identified a series of transformation projects that we will deliver over the next 2-3 years.
Online Admissions: Phase 1- Pre-school and Primary applications completed online. Allocation of places assisted by online School Portal.
Education Technology Services: Development of a new school IT system to replace the current C2k platform from 2021. Further Information on this project coming soon.
An online recruitment solution for schools, aimed at reducing the bureaucratic burden and shortening the timescale for recruiting teaching and non-teaching staff.
A new integrated HR and Payroll solution replacing the current multiple versions of the Resourcelink.
A new model for the procurement and delivery of EA’s Maintenance and Minor Works Services.
An accelerated programme of area planning in mainstream and special education.
We rely heavily on the views and experience of our leaders in schools and other educational settings, school communities, parents and young people to help us transform.
There are lots of ways to get involved, including principal reference groups, consultations, offering to host as part of our “Reaching Out” project and so on. These opportunities will be communicated to schools and settings during the school year. The relevant links will appear on the Transformation Hub page.
We also contribute to the Department of Education’s “Education Transformation Programme” that is reviewing critical aspects of the existing education system and developing options for a future Minister of Education.
