Summer Holiday Food Grant Payment
Families who were in receipt of Free School Meals in the past school year (2021/22), are entitled to Summer Food Payment over the summer holidays.
The second payment will be made into bank accounts on Monday 8 August. If we do not hold bank account details for you, a cheque will be sent in the post on Monday 8 August.
Please be advised that families receiving the Summer Food Payment still need to apply for Free School Meal and Uniform Allowance for school year beginning in September 2022.
Important information for your 2022-23 application for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance: Getting Ready!
If you are in receipt of one of the following:
- Income Support;
- Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance;
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance;
- Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit;
You should request a Proof of Benefits letter now via Get a proof of benefit letter. It will take at least five days to be sent to you. Once you receive the letter keep it securely and then upload a copy of the letter when you apply for Free School Meals and Uniform.
If you receive Tax Credits or Universal Credit you do not require the above letter.
