Home to school transport

The Education Authority has a statutory responsibility for the provision of transport assistance to facilitate attendance at a grant-aided school of pupils for whom fees are not paid and who are resident in Northern Ireland. This guide aims to help you navigate the transport application process.

"Find My Route" viewer for EA Bus Routes

A timetable and map is available for a number of routes served by the Education Authority's own fleet of yellow and white buses and contracted Private Operators. For Translink routes you will need to contact your local Translink Depot.

By entering the route codes provided to you, by the Authority, you will be able to see details of both the morning and afternoon school service.

The map shows all the main stops on each route and the timetable gives details on the time the bus is scheduled to arrive / depart from each stop.

Please note that the times are approximate, and are subject to change for operational reasons. You should always ensure your child / children are waiting at the bus stop in advance of the times listed, and it is your responsibility as the parent to decide as to whether your child / children are supervised to and from the bus stops.

Drivers are instructed to adhere strictly to the timetable and will not wait at bus stops as this can cause delays for other pupils travelling on the service.

Please note:  "Find my Route" works best with up-to-date web browsers (the software you use to access the internet). If you are using an old web browser or if it is out of date, the "Find my Route page" may not display properly.
