Leadership Opportunities

The Education Authority provides services directly to schools and services to support schools. We are one of the largest education bodies in the UK as well as one of the largest employers in Northern Ireland. We play a key role in leading and improving education across Northern Ireland. 

We are looking for two highly talented leaders to join our executive team and work with us to achieve our aim to inspire, support and challenge children and young people to be the best they can be across Northern Ireland.  The successful candidates will lead on the delivery of critical service and support functions to schools, and will drive standards of excellence in their respective functional areas. 

Salary: £84,184 to £92,071

Director of Finance & ICT

The Director of Finance and ICT will have responsibility for financial planning and budgetary management of c£1.9bn and will fulfil a crucial role in strategic financial leadership across the education sector. They will be responsible for delivering a significant portfolio of high quality financial and ICT services to schools and corporate functions against a complex and challenging financial environment.

Director of Operations & Estates

The Director of Operations and Estates will have responsibility for providing a large portfolio of critical services to schools, children and young people, and for achieving best value within their budgetary accountability of c£250m. They will be responsible for developing partnerships with a wide range of service delivery organisations to deliver high quality services across a significant breadth of areas.
