Young people are anxiously and excitedly receiving their results, which will take them on to sixth form in school or beginning study in a Further Education College or training organisation.

“I congratulate all young people receiving results today, and wish them all the very best, in whatever they decide to do next.”

Paying tribute to teachers and families, Ms O’Connor said;

“Behind every student receiving results, there are teachers and families who have supported them in achieving their goals, and who share in young peoples’ achievements today.”

For students whose grades weren’t what they had expected, the EA Chairperson has this advice,

“I encourage students to speak to their teachers for guidance on what options are available, and most importantly don’t rush into making decisions. Sometimes you will just be taking a different route to the career that you have always been interested in following.”
