Supply Teacher Bookings on 19th September - Her Majesty Elizabeth II’s State Funeral
Following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queens Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the day of her State Funeral, which has been confirmed as Monday 19th September 2022.

All public services will continue to be provided as usual throughout the mourning period. It is therefore expected that schools should remain open, with the exception of the day of the State Funeral.
Principals are required to take action to ensure that supply teachers are not impacted as a result of the school closure on 19th September 2022.
Schools are requested to honour existing bookings for supply teachers for 19th September 2022 to ensure that the Teacher is paid for this day. Principals are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure this action is taken by the appropriate person in the school.
