The Supporting Learning website for teachers has launched
Wednesday, 9th December 2020
This website was created to support teachers through the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond. It aims to promote the reflective practice of the Teacher Professional Learning strategy, supporting teachers to be learning leaders.
Through the Supporting Learning website, teachers and school principals will be able to access short videos by fellow practitioners covering a range of aspects of school life. School principals and teachers can also access a range of professional learning opportunities, and have access to Northern Ireland policy documentation, which provides the context for the work in schools.
The website can be accessed by all teachers through the Supporting Learning rainbow icon on the launchpad of the MySchool homepage in C2K.
The website will be active and responsive to school needs and new content will be added on a regular basis. Links to further professional learning opportunities, webinars and other events to support professional learning are available.
John Unsworth, from Education Authority, said:
'The Supporting Learning website was developed to support schools and teachers as they ensure continuity of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that this departure from traditional face to face approaches provides an opportunity for all schools to engage with the Teacher Professional Learning resources and activities in a flexible and tailored manner as they support the learning of their pupils during these challenging times.’
