Pre-School Children with Special Educational Needs

The Special Educational Needs Early Years Inclusion Service (SENEYIS) aims to promote the optimum development of pre-school children with special educational needs by providing support to children, families and pre-school settings.

The SEN Early Years Inclusion Service will remain operational during the summer.

We will continue to be contactable every working day by phone and our team members will be available to assist with enquiries.

All newly referred families will receive a telephone call from a team member to introduce the service, gather information and provide initial support.

Families already working with an assigned team member can get in touch using contact details provided by their link.

We are updating our web tile on an ongoing basis and have increased our range of downloadable resources and online training themes.

This will continue to be expanded throughout the summer months.

The service is currently planning towards the start of the new school year and will be following the guidance of the Department of Education and The Public Health Agency in seeking to move towards a more normal service delivery.

We expect to continue to deliver at least a partially digital service for a period of time, however, and are improving our understanding and use of technologies to broaden our remote support programme.

Our aim throughout is to ensure that all families and early educational settings are able to access the service by the means that suit them best.
