January 2025: Board of Governor Training Programme Term 2 2024/25
The programme of training for governors has now been updated and is available at Board of Governors Training Programme.
As reconstitution continues, we look forward to welcoming new and seasoned governors who will take up their positions through the reconstitution programme. A variety of courses are provided for governors at all stages of their volunteering journey, and we encourage all governors to join the programme and explore what's most beneficial for them. For the first time, since Covid, EA is offering some face-to-face opportunities for new governors.

As in previous terms, there are a few key points worth highlighting with your governors:
- The Safeguarding Role course is mandatory for Chairpersons and Designated Governors.
- First-time users need to register on the online portal, as detailed in the attached document.
- All courses will remain open until 31 July 2025 and can be accessed anytime.
- Please note that all governors need to submit an online evaluation for each course that they complete, for their course completion to be correctly recorded. This is essential for EA to keep their training records up-to-date. If a governor or a school wishes to receive a copy of their training records, they must ensure that all evaluations have been submitted.
