Daily Transport Updates

Saturday 31 August

We are making positive progress as we continue to finalise transport arrangements for a small number of children. We have been prioritising contacting families who have not yet received notification of transport arrangements.

We wish to thank you for your patience during this busy period.

Should you require further assistance, please contact our Transport Helplines which will operate from 8am – 5pm from Monday 2 – Friday 6 September 2019 and 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday thereafter.

BACK-TO-SCHOOLAs the new school year commences 85,000 pupils will be travelling to and from school using the Education Authority’s (EA) School Transport Service, in partnership with Translink.

EA has been making arrangements throughout the summer months to ensure that transport is in place for children and young people across Northern Ireland.

Our Transport Service is currently handling a high volume of applications and enquiries.  Transport arrangements are in place for the majority of pupils, regrettably however, we have been unable to finalise arrangements for a small number of children before the start of term.  We would therefore encourage families to have alternative arrangements in place in the event that they are needed.

We apologise sincerely to parents and pupils affected and are working tirelessly to resolve this.  If anyone is experiencing difficulties please ring our helpline which is open from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, on 028 9598 5959.
