Regional Advisory Group

Priorities for Youth policy mandated the establishment of a Regional Advisory Group (RAG) and the development of a 3 year Regional Youth Development Plan (RYDP) with representation from young people, voluntary organisations and other government departments assisted by the statutory partners. 

In October 2013 the Minister for Education, Mr John O’Dowd, launched a new policy for youth services entitled ‘Priorities for Youth – Improving Young People’s Lives through Youth Work’.  This policy mandated the establishment of a Regional Advisory Group (RAG) and the development of a 3 year Regional Youth Development Plan (RYDP) with representation from young people, voluntary organisations and other government departments assisted by the statutory partners.
