ASPIRE digital launch at W5
19 March 2025
45 Primary and Post Primary ASPIRE partnerships attended the project’s Professional Learning Launch on Monday 3rd March, at W5 building in Belfast, focused on the theme of Digital Communication.
110 teachers from 101 schools had the opportunity to listen to experts in the digital field, gaining invaluable insight into how digital technology can be utilised in classrooms to further enhance pupils shared education experiences.
Facilitators for the event were Ruth McKeown (Adobe), Mary McCorley (Just2easy), Michael Barrett (Microsoft Dreamspace), Billy Breen (Prodigy Learning), Daniel O'Reilly (AmmA Centre), David McConnell (NI Screen), Sean Kelly (INTO Film) and Conchúr Keenan, Chynel McCrink, Christopher Robinson, Julie McArdle and Eamon McAteer from the Education Authority c2K Edis eLearning Team.
Over the coming weeks, partnerships will participate in professional learning sessions alongside these facilitators. They will develop and learn new skills that they will then implement in their classrooms with pupils jointly online. This will culminate in a showcase event in June, enabling teachers to share their experiences with their peers, providing opportunity for sharing of best practice and future plans.
