Operational Plans

Operational Plans translate the vision of the strategies into practical Area Planning actions and make the necessary changes to the current school provision and should be read in conjunction with the Strategic Area Plans. 

Special Schools Plans of Action was published on 16 September 2025.   It outlines the short, medium and long term actions to meet projected demand.   

Operational Plan 2: 2024-26 was published on 16 January 2025 is the second operational plan and will span 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2026.

Operational Plan 1: 2022-24 was published on 1 September 2022 and spanned 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2024.
