Carr Primary School and Millennium Integrated Primary School have celebrated another successful chapter in their well-established Shared Education partnership, with pupils coming together for a series of engaging activities at the Loch Moss Centre as part of the PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project.

The sessions gave pupils valuable opportunities to meet new friends, strengthen existing relationships and learn alongside one another in a positive and supportive environment. Through team-based activities including dodgeball, basketball and football, pupils worked in mixed groups to build confidence, develop cooperation skills and enhance their Shared Education links.

Staff from both schools said the partnership continues to provide meaningful learning experiences for pupils and staff alike. Both schools are looking forward to continuing their collaboration next year and building on the strong connections already developed.

One pupil from Carr Primary School said: ‘I was very nervous about meeting new people.’ Another added: ‘I made 5 new friends on our first day together.’

A pupil from Millennium Integrated Primary School commented: ‘Dodgeball and basketball were great together,’ while another said: ‘I love learning new sports with new friends.’

The PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project is led by the Education Authority in partnership with Léargas, Early Years – the organisation for young children, the National Childhood Network, and the Fermanagh Trust. The project is funded by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
