EA Library Service host its first locality post - primary meeting
27 June 2025
The Education Authority (EA) library service recently welcomed over 30 librarians and Heads of English to the wonderful library at Killicomaine Junior High School for their first ever cross locality event.
Described as a ‘haven to pupils’ in a recent inspection from ETI, Killicomaine Junior High School was the perfect facility to host the first meeting with many of the visitors, from schools across Northern Ireland, commenting on the outstanding provision and resources available to pupils and staff at the school who are the first Patron of Reading school in Northern Ireland.
The EA introduced guest speaker, Lucy Lewis, Partnerships Manager from Book Trust NI to those in attendance.
These termly meetings are a wonderful forum to share ideas, library initiatives with other schools across Northern Ireland.
If you would like to attend our next meeting in October, please get in touch with your local Education Library Service Librarian!
