Pupils from Jones Memorial Primary School and Holy Trinity Primary School came together for a joyful end-of-term celebration marking the success of their Shared Education journey through the PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project.

The celebration assembly, attended by parents, carers and school governors, showcased months of creative collaboration focused on Enniskillen, affectionately known as the “Island Town”. Pupils proudly presented poetry collections, a cookery book, podcasts, tourist presentations and an original rap celebrating the town’s character, community spirit and famously rainy weather.

Throughout the programme, children from both schools learned together through hands-on, engaging activities including cookery sessions with local chefs, podcasting and blogging workshops with local social media influencers, and interviews with local historians exploring Enniskillen’s rich heritage.

The day finished in colourful style with a lively colour run, bringing pupils together for a fun and energetic finale to a programme built on friendship, creativity and shared pride in their local area.

The PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project is led by the Education Authority in partnership with Léargas, Early Years – the organisation for young children, the National Childhood Network, and the Fermanagh Trust. The project is funded by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
