St Catherine’s PS and Strabane PS pupils unite for creative Shared Education library visit
9 January 2026
Primary 3 pupils from St Catherine’s PS and Strabane PS recently came together for a fun PEACEPLUS ASPIRE shared education session in Strabane Library.
During the library visit the children enjoyed a lively carousel activity day filled with storytelling, arts and crafts, drama, and play.
The atmosphere was full of energy and creativity as pupils worked side by side, building friendships and learning together. Teachers from both schools partnered with local librarians and artists, ensuring the activities were enriched by the talents and resources of the wider community.
This collaboration not only gave the children a memorable day of fun and discovery but also highlighted the strength of community connections in supporting shared education. By linking schools with local partners, the PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project continues to create meaningful opportunities for pupils to learn, grow, and celebrate together.
PEACEPLUS ASPIRE (Advancing Shared Partnerships through Inclusive Relationships in Education) is led by the Education Authority (EA), alongside Léargas, Early Years- the organisation for young children, National Childhood Network (NCN) and the Fermanagh Trust. The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). It aims to provide direct and sustained contact between children and young people from all backgrounds.
