FLARE - Facilitating Life and Resilience Education

The FLARE programme aims to support young people to develop their personal strengths and capabilities towards positive mental well-being.

The main emphasis of the Framework is to support educational (formal/non-formal) settings to promote emotional health and wellbeing at a universal level, through a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach, building resilience to enable our children and young people to cope with challenges they may face in life and providing early and enhanced support for those who may be at risk or showing signs of needing further help.

Through the delivery of workshops, group work and one to one support by professionally qualified and highly skilled youth workers, FLARE is designed to support young people to develop positive emotional health, increase their readiness for learning, and build their resilience.

FLARE focuses on fostering self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience among young individuals. Through a variety of co-design programmes, support groups, and educational resources, we aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where young people can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build a solid foundation for their mental well-being.

FLARE Ambassadors

The purpose of a FLARE Ambassador is to be a passionate advocate for positive mental health, creativity, and personal growth within the youth community, aligning with the principles of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Framework. As a FLARE Ambassador, you play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can thrive emotionally and mentally. Your mission is to:

  • Promote positive mental health practices
  • Destigmatise conversations around emotional well-being
  • Encourage young individuals to prioritise self-care and resilience-building

In embracing the values of FLARE and the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Framework, you inspire others to develop a powerful sense of self, build emotional resilience, and seek support when needed.
