Admissions Update

Parents/carers of children going through the pre-school and primary school admissions process for the 2025-26 academic year received an early notification of outcome by email on Thursday 3 April due to an error by our service provider Version 1. 

This was, of course, deeply regrettable, and we would add our own apology to that already offered to parents by Version 1, who have advised that the error occurred during their testing of the EA Connect portal. Work is underway to determine how this happened, and to ensure it cannot happen again. 

We can confirm that the outcome of applications in any emails is correct.

Parents/carers will be able to log on to EA Connect and accept/reject their child’s place, or list other preferences, from 12 noon on Monday 7 April. For any queries in relation to their notification outcomes, please contact our Admissions team on 028 9047 0177.

Statement from Version 1 (EA Connect Delivery Partner)

We would like to apologise to our valued customer, the Northern Ireland Education Authority and parents and guardians of children applying for P1 or pre-school places for the 2025-26 academic year. Due to human error during testing of the EA Connect portal, early notifications were sent out today. We are actively investigating to understand how it happened. We recognise the additional pressure early notification has placed on school principals and staff and we are committed to providing the necessary support to manage the situation.
