Youth Service

Our Youth Service provide informal education and youth programmes to young people across Northern Ireland aged 4 to 25.

Through the delivery of youth work practices, our staff work to improve outcomes for all children and young people, whether this is emotional health and wellbeing, leadership journey or the development of social skills.

Youth Centres

Our Youth Service manage Youth Centres across Northern Ireland that provide youth services and provision to young people aged 4 – 25.

Outdoor Learning Centres

Our Youth Service provides opportunities for our children and young people to engage in Outdoor Learning opportunities as part of either their school curriculum, or through youth work programmes.

Regional Projects

Our Regional Youth Services deliver specialist programmes that support children and young people across Northern Ireland. These include programmes promoting positive emotional health and wellbeing, developing youth leadership, and tailored youth projects.

Youth Funding

The Education Authority can help you make a difference in your youth work by providing funding. We will fund youth organisations that;

Deliver Youth Work in accordance with Priorities for Youth
Deliver the youth work curriculum, ‘Youth Work: A Model for Effective Practice’
Meet the needs of children and young people
Use a Strength Based Approach to their programmes with young people
Are registered with EA

Based on the needs of the Youth Service, other organisations which provide specialist services may have the opportunity to apply for funding, namely Regional Project and/or Regional Development Funding
