COVID-19 Update

During the period of the COVID-19 crisis, the Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS) is suspending its normal service.

As this is a very difficult and unsettling time for everyone, the Service will endeavour to provide as much support as possible in the current circumstances.

Telephone Advice

AAIS will provide telephone advice for families at home.

A parent or guardian can phone their nearest office number as listed below.

A staff member will log the particular question, query or issue with which you require help.

An experienced team member will then return your call and provide advice and assistance according to your particular need.

We are working hard as a service team to explore ideas and ways of supporting you through this difficult period.

We will continue to update this website area with new information as we progress.

Celebrating World Autism Month

The Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS) are celebrating World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April 2020 and showcasing the amazing talents of our children and young people throughout the month of April.

A video of some of the amazing art work of our young people has been uploaded to the EA website and may be accessed below.

Online Resources

Intervention for individual pupils referred to AAIS will be suspended while schools remain closed.

Planned trainings to parents and professionals will also be suspended at this time.

However, AAIS is now developing ways to continue support to our families, children and young people.

We are providing resources and suggestions for strategies to use in the home in the (AAIS) area on the EA website.

We encourage you to access this area and check regularly for any updates.
