Apprentice Mechanic - 1 Post
Currently there is an Apprentice Vehicle Technician / Mechanic opportunity available within the EA Transport Division and we are seeking people
from a range of backgrounds to make an application.
Working in partnership with the South East Regional College, Lisburn, (SERC), the EA Fleet Service has developed the Pathway to become a Qualified Level 3 Vehicle Technician / Mechanic; the EA plans to attract and encourage new talent into the Transport sector.
The EA are providing an opportunity for the successful applicant to train to become a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic through part-time study of college attendance one day per week. For the duration of the training, successful applicants will also hold a fixed term Apprentice Mechanic position for up to four years within the EA.
- Duration of Contract/Contract End Date: 31 August 2030
- Hours per Week: 36 hours per week, includes weekly day release for attending College.
- Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30, Timetable TBC.
- Grade/Scale: Apprentice Mechanic | NJC Points 5 - 8 | £25,583 - £26,824 per annum
- Additional Information: Additional Allowance: Tool Allowance, SERC Course Fees. One post available based in EA Newry Vehicle Maintenance. Appointment will be on a 4 year fixed-term basis, upon successful completion of Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, a permanent position as an EA Vehicle Technician/Mechanic will be offered.
